Decisions, decisions

I’m in the midst of re-starting The Sandbox of Doom, leading with Tékumel Thursdays. I’ve gotten slowed down by a summer cold, but that appears to be going away. Along with Tékumel stuff, I will also be doing more with other games:

  • Classic Traveller, either directly through Mongoose’s license or indirectly using Cepheus Engine or simply not being specific to Traveller (but I would like to honor Marc Miller in this, so we’ll see.)
  • Fringeworthy. I really like this game, especially since it is possibly the biggest setting “canvas” I’ve ever worked with. Not at all fond of the game mechanics, but the background is amazing.
  • The Morrow Project. Definitely more to come here, as my playtest “proof of concept” was a hit at North Texas RPG Con.
  • Original D&D. I ran an OD&D campaign in 2024, in honor of the 50th anniversary. This convinced me of just how much every OD&D referee had to make it their own game, and I have some elements of my Doomground campaign to share with everyone.
  • Other games. I am an inveterate tinkerer and “shade tree mechanic” when it comes to TTRPGs, so I expect I will be doing SOMEthing with The Fantasy Trip and other games.

Look for more as things progress!
